I usually carry more but I also have a 3 diaper minimum. I sometimes use 1 of the diapers as a "pillow" for her while I'm changing her.

I always pack at least 6 diapers...that way in my sleep deprivation if I forgot to check the diaper count I am always bound to have some extra. Better safe than sorry is my motto!!

I have a baby boy and it's sometimes a struggle figuring out when he's going to "go"... but I figured out when he's going to pee so changing him on the go won't be such a mess! The trick is, when his, uhm "tenders" look a little hard, he's about to pee! so I wait to change him about 10 minutes and that way I don't have to worry about him peeing on someones couch!

My husband and I took our daughter out today, and I can't believe how many places don't have a changing station in the restroom. I never appreciated it so much before but I deffinately think all public restrooms should be required to have some kind of changing station.

I have always found it helpful to place the clean diaper under my baby's bottom before taking off the dirty diaper. That way, just in case baby decides to "go" while in the middle if changing, you have the clean diaper in place to catch any mess...

Be prepared! 5-6 diapers instead of 3. You really never know if you'll forget to restock the bag in a moment of....exhaustion. Many new diaper bags come with changing pads included. They're great but don't forget to wipe them down too. Use she hand sanitizer on a wipe. but make sure you get both sides!
