When I had my first two children I didnt really bring anything but a BOPPY PILLOW works wonders especially if you live 20 miles from the hospital on a bumpy dirt road lol. These lists were helpful and i remembered things that i didnt with the other two so hopefully this time i'll be really prepared.

I WENT ON TO YOUTUBE.COM I PUT "WHAT TO PACK FOR THE HOSPITAL" AND IT SHOWS MANY VIDEOS OF WHAT PEOPLE PACK FOR THE HOSPITAL ALSO YOU CAN LOOK UP "WHAT I DID AND DIDNT USE FROM MY HOSPITAL BAG" THESE VIDEOS WERE SO HELPFUL TO ME IM GIVIN BIRTH IN THE FIRST WEEK OF JUNE N I HAVE ALL MY BAGS PACKED I FIRST PACKED WITHOUT KNOWING EXACTLY WHAT TO TAKE AND WHEN I WATCHED A FEW OF THOSE VIDEOS I WENT THRU MY BAG AGAIN TOOK OUT ALOOOT OF THINGS AND PUT IN AM FEW THINGS HAHA SO THIS IS REALLY HELPFUL (:

I am definitely using this list when packing my bag for the doctor's office this coming week. I am only 22 weeks, but will probably be on bedrest until I deliver, my fear is that I go to the doctor and they stick me in the hospital til I give birth to my beautiful little girl, and I don't want to be without anything when she gets here.

i wish i would have thought of earplugs i was a high risk patient with nurses in every thirty minutes no sleep at hospital. i am soo using this list next time around

If you forget to pack something, then you can have someone run home and get it for you.....It made me feel a lot better knowing this because when the day comes to go to the hospital your mind is focused just on welcoming your new bundle of joy to your life. You don't need to be worrying about anything else.

To prepare for home births: I reserve my birthing pool and order the liner. I order the birthing kit which has all needed labor tools, the personal care for moms, and all the necessary items for the birth of the baby. I've got a hot water heater, my husband, the midwife and her apprentice. It is a pretty simple process.

Very good article everyone should know what they should take to the hospital. For my first birth I was totally prepared and the second time around I was not. I went to the hospital and forgot everything from my bag to the camera. With so much pain one does not remember anything.

Be sure to check with your hospital on what they provide. My hospital had a birthing ball for every room. Also make sure you bring lots of cash. I was in labor at the hospital for almost 24 hrs. Dad got hungry and made several trips to the cafe to eat and stretch his legs.
