THANK YOU so much for posting this article!!! My daughter is nine months and i just started giving her finger foods, and these recipes are a great way for her to practice how to eat on her own. Plus she'll love it (apples and sweet potatoes are her favorite)!!!!

my daughter is 7 months old n I found a snack called mum-mums. There great for early learning for self feeding and there good for her. They come in packs of two and only 30 calories in 6! They quickly melt in her mouth too so we dnt have to worry about chocking.

my son is 10 months doesn't have any teeth yet so feeding him finger foods i have to make sure it is soft enough for him to gum so he don't choke. he loves getting his fingers dirty.

My beautiful 9-month old daughter is now learning to feed herself. She is a breastfed baby and haven't shown much for eating anything until now, and she enjoys trying to feed herself. Mostly she does best at just making a mess for mommy, but I've found that soft foods like well cooked potatoes, some crackers, and cranberry sauce are her favorites. It is easy for her to choke, so I watch, learn, and listen to her cues to the eating game.
