My son is so difficult to deal with when it comes to diapers. He has been taking them off since he was just about a year old. So we had to use Duck Tape to keep them on. Thats my tip...Duck Tape works wonders...especially when he is 2.5 now and throws a diaper full of poop onto his 7 year old brothers face LOL :-)

When my 11 mth old was around 3 mths we started to play with formula for various reasons and each one produced a different colored BM. One day I must have given him all three b/c the next day it was a rainbow! Talk about a short moment of panic!

I like some parents have to change my baby in the middle of the store sometimes! but i remember my babys first days of dirty diapers i was always worried because my babys poop was always different colors! being a first time mom i took him to the Dr. and they changed his formula to a sensitive!! he has been good since then!! i also believe that its good to get the father involved with bathing and everything its a good learning experience!! i love being a mother but im still learning alot everyday! especially about all the different products and which ones are the right ones to use!!

My child is too funny. She will use the potty at others house but refuses to use it at home.

i tried getting my husband to change the poopie diapers....and he does but pretty often, he needs help, so I end up doing it anyway. just the other day, he got my daughter's poop all over the sofa and his hand while changing her. i do appreciate him trying, but it's a little more work for me when he does.

One of the bad experiences was when the diapers/pull-ups would 'leak' or the contents would find an escape even with careful measures to ensure that the diapers were on correctly...especially for boys...I don't know about girls... Anyone with a similar experience?

I can totally identify with the "Your Turn" tactic! Hahah. I used to use that one all the time. However, I have learned over the years that I just have to change the way I think about changing diapers. This is my one on one time with the baby and we use this time to play and laugh together. Now my husband does the same thing and I don't have to tell him to do it anymore. This new tactic is the "Baby loves and laughing" tactic.

MY FIRST 3 BABIES HAD POOPING PROBLEMS SO I ALWAYS WANTED TO BE IN CHARGE OF THE CHANGING TIME. MY HUSBAND AND OTHER FAMILY WOULD OFFER TO DO THE DUTY TO GIVE ME A HAND BUT I WOULD WORRY ON THE CONSISTANCY OF IT. THEN I WOULD SOUND LIKE MORE OF A CRAZY LADY BY ASKING THEM HOW IT WAS. I KNEW WHAT TO WATCH FOR AND IF IT HAD ANY CHANGE TO IT I KNEW WHAT I HAD EATEN TO MAKE IT CHANGE. I WAS ALSO REALLY WEIRD ABOUT OTHERS FEEDING THEM TOO. WHENEVER THEY WOULD GO OVER TO NANAS I WOULD PACK A FOOD BAG WITH ALL THE CONTENTS LABELLED. NOW IM HERE WITH MY 4TH THAT DOESNT HAVE ANY TUMMY ISSUES AND EATS ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING. OR IT MAY JUST BE THAT IM NOT AS UPTIGHT. LOL

I always sing a goofy song to my son to keep him pacified while I change him. The tune usually mimics The Adams Family or Oh my Darlin'. While singing, he is as still as can be. The song does its job and my son is happy!

When we aren't in the diaper changing mood, my husband and I will say "The baby has a present for you!" Now her brothers will yell it out when they smell a dirty one.

i TOTALLY agree on how it feels like bonding time! i enjoy being able to soothe my baby while changing her. It's not always so easy in a public restroom (the oohs and ahhs i make at my little one seem to catch a LOT of people's attention).

changing your baby's diaper is a bonding time but also a busy time. i'm a mother of two and it seems that as soon as i was done changing one baby, the other had gone. one time i counted the number of diapers i changed in an hour, 4 each. by the time my husband was home i didnt want to see any diapers. i love my babies to death but their pooping is expensive!

I hate changing diapers. more than ever b/c my 4yr old son still refuses to use the poty. I guess I need to speak to his doctor b/c this isn't fun or cheap...
