I always stash the zip top bag the wipes came in, in my diaper bag that way you can just toss the used diaper in there when out and about and there is no great place to throw out the diaper.

The BYO trash bag idea is pretty clever, i am going to start doing that. A friend of mine recently threw a stinky diaper in my kitchen trash can and for that whole day all i could smell was poopie! I always take the soiled diapers with me in the diaper bag, then i have to spray with lysol when we get home. It never occured to me to bring my own trash bag. thanks for the tip:)

the article has some great points... like preparing the new diaper by opening it up first.
having a little boy.... i find it helpful to put a new diaper under the one he has on.... so when I finish wiping him up and i pull out the dirty diaper, the new one is already there just in case he decides to pee again. This technique would work with girls too.

Keeping extra diapers on hand is great advice! I was changing his diaper in a store and he peed on the open diaper I had waiting. Keep a few extra in your diaper bag.
