Some great tips! I'd like to add another from personal experience: I've recently purchased a Roomba to help with the cleaning; not only does it do so, but my little one also enjoys watching it move around the apartment.
Note: I imagine some toddlers won't enjoy the noise so much (although it is much, much quieter than my regular vacuum). Just a thought, it could be both helpful with the cleanup and provide entertainment :)

Review 6 for Keeping The House Clean With A Busy Baby No It's Not An Oxymoron
These tips were great! As a single mom finding a way to clean and keep an eye on the baby is really important. And while most of the tips are common sense, its amazing how I didn't think of them.

The dollar store has little covered boxes that I put on top of the dresser and in the bathroom. Then I can toss things like Q- tips, diapers, nail clips, hair clips, etc, for easy storage, and sourcing for when hands are tight. And quick little spot when cleaning up. I liked the wipes in each room idea, because I use them on the walls, floor, utensils And for the wipes that have dried out, I just squirt the cleaners on them and finish up on the counters. My two year old has his own spray can, so he helps me clean up.

I like the idea of having three or four sheets on the bed to make changing easier, but what if there is an accident/leak? More laundry!

The mini dustpan idea works like a charm! I do this all the time when I don't have time for a more thorough floor cleaning. I hate stepping on crumbs so a 30 second trick to help me keep my sanity during the day.

I have two Oreck air purifiers. One in my room (where the baby naps during the day) and one in the baby's room (where she sleeps at night). I live on a major route close to downtown so when I put her to sleep they are set to HIGH and they work great! She sleeps so much better with them on! I am a firm believer in white noise helping her sleep now. And of course, they help with dust and dirt too ;)

I have always been a marathon cleaner so it's been tough for me to try and clean a bit during nap times. Guess I will have to get used to a less tidy home once he is mobile.

Since I have two kids (a 4 year old and a 7 month old) I have to find time to clean. So one the 7 month old is down for a nap, I make sure my 4 year old is busy with a fun activity such as colouring, arts and crafts or even tagging along with me since he likes "helping". Sometimes I have to leave the cleaning until they are both down for sleep at night such as laundry or mopping the floors. If I am having guests over I strap my 7 month old baby girl in the snuggly and she tags along with me while I vaccuum the carpets.
