Wow this is a great article! I am a mom of 4 (new set of twins) a 4 year old and a 6 year old. With my first I was always carrying him and thru his daytime naps I would nap with him in our bed, he would sleep 4-5 hours at a time, at night he would sleep in a separate room and he wouldn't sleep longer than a half hour at a time and I thought it was because we napped for so long during the day, I tried to cut the nap time, I tried to just let him nap on his own everything i could think of besides what is in this article! with our 2nd he slept in a crib in our room and he was always a great sleeper! Kept him in our room until just under a year and was not a prob when we switched him into his own room ( i thought i was just getting the hang of being a good parent!) this makes total sense to me know tho! I am hoping that the twins will be able to soothe each other when we do the big cross over to their own room!

What can u do if your baby is waking up so much because of gas? My 8 month old was having problems sleeping because of hunger so we switched to formula, now its gas from the formula, no matter what brand we use...I miss sleep...

My baby is 3months he had some gas issues at 2 months which woukd have him screaming at night. I used a product called infacol. You can find it at shoppers. Its worked well, doesn't taste bad. Maybe you can try a baby probiotic like biogia daily. Hope that helps.
Our baby would cry and scream when we tried to put her down to sleep/nap. A nurse recommended we set a length of time we would let her cry before going to her. We decided on 10 minutes. So after 10 mintues of crying we would go to her, pick her up, snuggle her, sooth her. Once she was settled we would put her down again. Sometimes we had to repeat this pattern 3-4 times before she would sleep. As soon as she started fussing we would set a timer, if she was quiet for a few minutes and started fussing again we would restart the timer for 10 minutes. Now we have to problems putting our daughter down for a nap and she usually only fusses for a few minutes.
