Customer Reviews for The Forbidden Foods of Pregnancy

The Forbidden Foods of Pregnancy

Pregnancy is such a strange time for a lot of us women. No matter if it’s our first or our fifth pregnancy, there’s always new ground to cover, uncharted territory to cross, new fears and new delights to be discovered. As I write this out, it sounds silly even to me, but the subject I always have the hardest time navigating through with each pregnancy is the ever dreaded and evolving list of foods to eat and stay away from.

Yes indeed. The list could have more details on other foods that should be avoided.

I know you're supposed to avoid alcohol but what about foods that contain alcohol. Like pastas and other things where the alcohol is cooked out of a wine sauce?

This was good to tell since many preg women would stuff their faces without knowing those foods could harm their child. I also am a fan of soft cheeses and didn't know they could harm a baby but they can. However the fish part, I ate sashimi tuna and salmon and cooked, and my child, Chloe came out fine and healthy. I am Asian so I couldn't say no to fish.
(Grandpa was fisherman, runs in the blood ;P )

Helpful resourxes since this is my first pregnancy, I do find myself indulging on some of these bad jabit food items. But most of all not only watching your diet for your baby but being careful with your body and how it reacts to after ea ting those foods. I find myself being full faster and feeling bloated at times to certain foods. I ned to keep bad food habits in mind for my baby.

I love the food list and i do agree with one caffeine drink a day... i would die without a cup of coffee every morning and i agree with the no fish thing i rather avoid that then take that chance with my baby. But i would add one thing to this list and it is:
FRUITS: yes they are healthy and oh so good but to much fruit is bad especially more than about 10 a day, I had a friend who ate nothing but fruit, well fruit has sugar in them yes it is natural sugar but it can still do more harm than good, because of the high natural sugar in fruit most doctors will recommend one of each fruit a day and not to eat them after 8pm because of the sugar, it will go straight to your hips and not help at all.
So with that i only eat one of each a day and ladies please wash every fruit before you eat them including the banana!
