Review 1 for Working Around Baby's Nap Schedule

Date:February 20, 2014
I definitely found the article true to form. That's how it was with all of my children. I made an effort to get out every day, for my own sanity, even if it was for a short time. What maybe wasn't said in the article clearly was that it is super important for children to take their naps. Yes, you can skip, but beware, you might think it will make them more tired for the night sleep and that they will sleep better. That has never been my experience.....the overtired kicks in and it is harder for them to sleep and stay asleep and they tend to have more melt downs. Like they said, make sure that they at least have one really good nap in their bed.

It Is crazy how different my 2 boys ate in there sleeping patterns. One sleepy no problem. My new little one is a challenge & think a more consistent schedule is exactly the problem.

Review 4 for Working Around Baby's Nap Schedule

Date:April 17, 2013
My 7 month old fights sleep. He gets super cranky and screams while I'm trying to get him to sleep. The more tired he becomes the crankier he gets. It really frustrates me at nap time and bed time. I've tried rocking him, swinging him, tummy time, warm bottles, but nothing seems to just get him to relax and go to sleep.
Any advice from you moms?

I don't know if this would help - with my little one, if she's getting fussy but is obviously tired, i'll either try to swaddle her then nurse or lately, i've just gone ahead and put her in bed and she'll settle down in about 10-15 mins. if she's still at it, i'll get her, nurse her and then she passes out right after. it's a bit of work but worth it.

Some other ideas for your little guy to sleep: white noise, super dark room, back rubs, head rubbing, pacifier, snuggly blanket or toy against his face (just while falling asleep), maybe even a swaddle? My son is now 16 months. There have been bouts of angry time while falling asleep but he's always gotten over it. Maybe he's teething? Good luck!
