The Real Dirt On Baby Clean

As soon as your baby can pick things up, she’ll start to put anything and everything into her mouth. But what’s really dirty, and what’s just kind of gross?

Babys drool is a natural disinfectant. so I don't worry too much about germs. certain things though are just too gross to think about their little mouths touching like our shoes. My little one loves to try and chew on our shoes, she thinks shes a puppy. but its helps to know that God made a way for babies to be safe just in case they put something in their mouths that is horrible.

My son is almost 9 months and I have not been sick since I got pregnant and he has never been sick. washing hands is number one! I also wash all his toys with the same wash I use on him once a week. I put all his toys in the tub get a soapy wash cloth and go to town. I wash his stuffed animals in the washer, in a pillow case for all others who didn't learn that trick from mom.
I also have started washing my sons hands after we are outside playing and crawling around on floor.
I also take my own toys to the doctors office this might be a little on the paranoid side but you figure most people are they because some one is sick.

It is very true, germs are everywhere. You can not protect your baby from every germ short of having them live in a bubble. Washing your own hands is and was a top priority for me. Most first time moms are a bit OCD to begin with so you will probably over sanitize. Just learn to relax, but do wash you and anything that falls to the ground.
