This list was helpful but a friend of mine also told me to bring a few comfortable underwear and maxi pads because the hospital will provide you with this mesh stuff and most people find it uncomfortable.

I'm five weeks away from my due date of June 25th and this being my first child I can't even describe in words how excited and anxious I am. I've already prepared my hospital bag and judging by this list this first time mommy is right on track!!! I CANT WAIT TO MEET MI'ANGEL (her middle name by the way)!!

This list definitely helps out a lot! There is just so much that I have to make sure I have when heading to the hospital, I better start now before I'm running around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to get everything together!

A good idea is to check with your doctor to see what your hospital provides and does not. I needed a Band-aid for a paper cut and they didn't have any! But otherwise, great sample list.

...Reading this gives you a ideas on what else you haven't thought of to put in your bag. If the your first baby it really helps alot. Many mothers to be don't know exactly what to brang, and not all hospitals supply everything.

Many of these items are provided by the hospital such as: pads baby's diapers pillows etc. I would suggest bringing the necessities. Dont worry about a lot of extra clothes. You will be bleeding like crazy!

I have heard that you really don't end up using anything really. (like books, underwear, comfy clothes, and such) because you are too lazy or the hospital provides most of the items, is that true?

When I went to the hospital to have my son, I packed just about everything on this list---and hardly touched any of it. I chose to wear the hospital gown until leaving and I used my travel size hygiene kit and one outfit for my son. A water bottle with a built in filter was the best thing I could've packed!

The packing list is pretty comprehensive, but don't worry about packing diapers for the baby into your hospital bag - they will send you home with the extras!

I'm a first time mom and I am on 32 weeks!!! I'm starting to get a little anxious to meet our little man and I have been thinking about what to pack for the hospital. I'm a list person so I just wanted to start early. This article really helped get my head wrapped around where to start.
