This is a great list! With my three girls my diaper bags and decreased in size with each child and as the child grows. I can break down my diaper bags into two different catagories much like this list. The first being the pouch, which contains 1 or 2 diapers, travel size wipes, sunscreen, and binkie. This pouch fits in my purse and is for every day activities. The second is the long haul. It's the actually diaper bag with a long list of must haves. Such as powder, lotions, extra outfits, etc...

For us, Triple Paste diaper cream is also a must! My daughter gets diaper rash very easily and this is a life saver for us!

I have a lot of these items in my little ones diaper bag but I also have a lot of other things. I have a tendency to over pack and I never thought about packing things for myself in the bag like an extra shirt in case of accidents and we do have those. This info is very useful and helpful and now I am going to repack our diaper bag. Maybe I'll get a bigger one this way I can pack everything and be able to close it this time since we have never been able to close our current one due to over packing!

The BEST DIAPER BAG EVER is a BACKPACK! It may sound funny but it makes it easy to throw on your shoulders keeping both hands free for baby and anything else you need to hold. The bonus is for guys you still can feel manly and tough and there's plenty of pockets to organize and store every extra you might need!

I wish I would've read this article 6 months ago. I'm a new mom and had no clue what to put in the diaper bag or even how much. Needless to say I surely learned the hard way but I have it down packed now. This is a good article for new mom's to read.

I definitely need to start bringing an extra shirt for me! Haha I always remember 2-3 extra onesies for him in case of a massive spit-up attack or diaper blow out, but I always seem to be stuck in a sour smelling shirt

Yep- most moms dont think to pack any extra clothes for themselves until they get pooped/peed or spit up on lol!

This article should be printed out and handed out at hospitals for all new moms. Definitely would have been beneficial before I took my child out for the first time. Article did seem to get the essentials but i would say that blankets are essential.
