I have many great pictures of my husband with his shirt over his nose or even our sons extra shirt tied around his face to help with the smell. He said he would rather smell a clean baby smell than THAT!!!

Daddy always has his essentials on hand. Gloves, diapers, wipes and mask just in case. One tip he always does and always seems to help is sliding the new diaper underneath and pulling the old one out so less mess.

My husband has always had an over-active gag reflex, but he said he plans to watch and monitor the baby until his or her habits are set and then take all the non-poopy changes. Silly scientist, we'll see how he does!

Since i'll be a stay at home mom, i know i'll be doing most of the diaper changes, but I like the idea of having my husband change the diapers at night or when he's home. =]

I just could never imagine having to deal with this. my husband has always been more than willing to do this part of the job, because i've breastfed both children perhaps he thinks he can take on that responsibility more? Bath time, however, is totally out of the question! :0)

With my first my husband was very hands on when it came to changing diapers. I just hope he does it longer than he did last time. Do not think he will be willing to stinky diapers though lol.

I tried letting him just relax a while when he got home from work instead of bombarding him with duties and he is absolutely 100% way nicer to be around and jumps in after that small relax period. Thanks for the advice.

i like the taking turns routine.. i changed the last one, so hunny its your turn.. that way neither of us feel like were always stuck changing the poopie diapers

Hello everyone, well let me just say the ladies on here are very lucky to have a man that changes your baby's diaper. My husband only does it when I ask him and he does not even do it right.. Sometimes the baby still has a little mess on him and it gets me frustrated.

My husband is always willing to change diapers, the only problem is he goes through way more wipes than necessary and he takes so long that our baby already pees on the new diaper before its taped on! But it does give me a good laugh seeing him panic for no reason. Needless to say, diaper changing is usually left for me to do haha

With my first son, I can count on 1 hand how many poopy diapers his Daddy changed. And I can count on 2 hands how many pee diapers he changed up until he was a year & a half old. Now that we have 2 sons together, hes gotten way better, and he changes the 2nd one all the time. I guess experience is the key.

This article is a must for new dads. They need to learn how to do be more involved with the little one. It might sound weird but it also builds the baby's trust and relationship with daddy too I think. I got really lucky with my husband cause he doesn't mind changing my little girl. He'll do it when it's even a blow out XD.

A lot of the time, especially as new mother's, we need help and we think it is obvious. But, we need to state the obvious to the men. I agree, when others say, just as him for help. You shouldn't have to ask, but if you do, I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised at how willing to helllp the man is.
